Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Join us for monthly lunchtime gatherings of those interested in hearing and speaking German. Each month, a special guest speaks on a topic. Participants can bring their lunch and join in the ensuing conversation.
Professor Albert Obernberger (Georgetown University) will first make a few theoretical remarks about humor and how it is expressed in German e.g. parody, travesty, satire, etc. The main part will be a presentation of various "humorous" texts of different origins.
